An Order by Governor Abbott which suspends some portions of the Open Meeting Act, allows local governments to hold Board Meeting by video conferencing. The South Buda WCID #1 will hold meetings using Zoom. After the meeting a link to view the video of the meeting will be posted on this website on the Agenda Page.
The Secretary of the Board of Directors has certified that the following candidates are unopposed for election to office in the election scheduled to be held on May 2, 2020: Marvin B. Morgan Sean M. Denton Dante Angelini and are declared to be elected to the office of Director on May 2, 2020.
Due to increasingly serious drought conditions across Central Texas, Monarch Utilities I, LP, our wholesale water provider has requested the District declare Stage 2 Mandatory Watering Restrictions per the Drought Contingency Plan. The goal of these restrictions is to reduce total water demand by twenty percent (20%), which will help provide adequate water storage levels for public health, safety, and fire protection. The Board of Director has issued an ORDER DECLARING UNOPPOSED CANDIDATES ELECTED TO OFFICE AND CANCELLING ELECTION. Since no opposing candidates files to run, the Board declares the incumbents to have been elected and to cancel the May 5, 2018 election.
